Starting January 2025, the fee for Akademikernas a-kassa will be 140 kronor per month, an increase of SEK 10.

More benefits for more members

The cost of the unemployment fund is mainly determined by the average daily allowance our unemployed members receive. When the income of our unemployed members before unemployment has increased, the average benefit from the fund also rises, as do our expenses in terms of state financing fees.

Continued good conditions

The unemployment fund is a vital insurance, providing a basic level of financial security during unemployment with benefits up to 26,400 kronor per month. For those earning more than 33,000 kronor and who have income insurance through a union, benefits can cover up to 80 percent of total income.

The value of membership in the unemployment fund

Everyone who wants basic security in the event of unemployment should join the unemployment fund. With us, you can remain a member regardless of job changes, shifts in industry, or whether you are an employee or self-employed. We recommend that everyone join a union for income insurance, as unions can also assist with everything from labor law advice to LinkedIn reviews. Membership in the unemployment fund is a prerequisite for qualifying for income insurance through the union.
